Enabling DV-in on Camcorders Sony DV and Sony D8 with PC ( emulating RM95 )
Download software and unzip it in some folder - make adapter, connect camcorder with adapter to LPT1 and run DVIN.EXE. Exchange slowly codes in the memory.
Adapter:
Canon 25, minijack 2,5" Stereo
transistor N-FET (A) or any NPN tranzistor (B)
audiocable (1+GND), no rezistors
Adapter LANC for LPT in EPP or ECP mode
Note for A): - LPT port must be in EPP or ECP mode, but on most motherboards works in SPP mode too.
Note for B): - this connection is for LPT in SPP mode, but on most motherboards works in ECP mode too. NPN is not connected as (A), but only in this connection works adapter well in SPP mode !
When You open Remote Controler 814 of D8, You can to see next 3button, which is bottom of RC. First and second buttons from left are for recording in VCR mode / must be pressed in same time /. Of course, DV card with firewire conrolls recording too.
